Lately I've been inspired a lot by Sempé. During my trip back home, my buddy Adam picked up one of his art book. I knew and read a bit of Sempé when I was a kid but I unfortunately did not appreciate his drawings until now.
I love the way he focuses on story and tells it with the simplest and fewest of lines. He sometimes uses a hint of shade and color to emphasize the character but the main purpose is Story and I tries to tell it as fast as possible.
